Meet Harvey
Most career coaches will help you write a better resume. What I do is tell you why you're not getting hired because it's usually not what you think.
After years inside the companies making hiring decisions, including LinkedIn, PwC, Southwest Airlines, I developed a formula for getting hired in a modern job market.
I know something most coaches don't: organizations aren't hiring the most qualified candidate. They're hiring the person they can picture working with. Skills get you in the room. But how you show up determines whether you leave with an offer or not.
Getting hired in a modern job market
My method and approach to career coaching doesn't teach you to perform. My approach teaches you to translate your experience, to take everything you've actually done and say it in a way that lands with the hiring manager. I don’t rely on the STAR method. We’re not curating rehearsed answers that sound like everyone else. The real thing that gets you the job: clarity about who you are, what you've built, and why a company would be making a mistake not to hire you.I’ve been doing this since college — informally, for friends, for former classmates, for anyone who asked. And while I’ve lost count of the people who went from stumbling through "tell me about yourself" to walking out with an offer, I can tell you what they all had in common: they were all very qualified. They just didn't know how to show it.If you're new to the job market, making a pivot, or stuck in a pattern of getting close but not landing, this is where that all changes.
